I have been reading up about eyes sight in a magazine called Vista- www.visionmatters.org.uk
I came across an article of a girl who had experienced short sightedness in both eyes and astigmatism in her right eye at the age of 10, She struggled to read the writing on the board at school.
She got glasses and wore them occasionally until she was 12, by then, her eyesight had deteriorated so much that she wore her glasses full time. She began to wear contact lenses at the age of 13 and this is when she was told about nocturnal lenses.
Ortho-k lenses are a type of hard lense that are to be worn at night time, they change the shape of the cornea. When the lenses are removed, your vision should either be corrected or at least significantly improved.
I don’t know about you but, these lenses sound fantastic.
This article also said, for prolonged use, some users only need to wear them every other night to correct their vision for the next day, without the need for glasses or contact lenses.
This is a great alternative to laser eye surgery or for those who aren’t deemed suitable for laser eye surgery.
She found wearing glasses whilst sleeping, a bit unusual but soon got used to it.
She now, no longer wears glasses throughout her day, thanks to ortho-k lenses.
So what do you know, you can correct or at least improve your eyesight and without surgery. These lenses are something I will be looking into.
